Company tour and demonstrations
One o'clock in the afternoon on a beautiful summer day: The expansive space between BD|SENSORS, BD|FORUM and the adjacent CLASSIC DRESSAGE horseback riding centre began to fill with activity. Visitors included prominent local political representatives come to express their admiration of the company and its CEO Rainer Denndörfer. Often, these visitors were also among the crowds taking in a small tour of the company, or exploring the Production Centre. BD|SENSORS apprentices greeted them with entertaining demonstrations of pressure measurement and fill level technology. Guests also brought their curiosity to the Competence Centre, where detailed presentations of the inner workings of the various products were met with great interest. On the commercial side, the new corporate film provided an entertaining and in-depth look at the company spirit and culture.
Many visitors took advantage of the chance to look over employees' shoulders as they went about their business in the different departments, ask questions and thus gain a real-world view of BD|SENSORS products and quality. And the pressure measurement technology specialist also demonstrated its family-friendly side with many games and activities for children. The stylish CLASSIC DRESSAGE facilities offered another venue for visitors to experience in the adjacent horseback riding centre.
The best for last
As the afternoon progressed there were fresh changes in the air, their aromas rising as evening began to fall. Grilled items, a buffet, catering with hot and cold dishes all served to whet visitors' appetites. The summer evening began with a ceremonial reception at the BD|FORUM, at which longstanding business partners and representatives from business and politics congratulated the company on its remarkable development of the past 20 years.
Afterwards, the huge tent on the grounds filled with employees and guests – who were soon to be surprised with the sound of samba music. A genuine Brazilian samba band captivated spectators with its pulsating rhythms and quickly transformed the tent into a huge party zone. “People who work hard should also celebrate hard,” said Rainer Denndörfer in welcoming his staff and guests. And then things got really loud – when renowned AC/DC cover band AC/DX arrived on stage with classics from the heroes of rock, to the massive enjoyment of the crowd. Guests sang and danced for hours, on a day of excitement and thrills that kept going until the early hours of the morning.
