The new building is now home to the purchasing, batch production, warehousing, goods receipt and dispatch departments. Technological processes such as the digital compensation and selection of base sensors and the packaging of probe cables will follow in the next few months. The move from the main building into the Production Center proceeded smoothly. During the move, BD|SENSORS ensured that there were no restrictions on deliveries for its customers. This meant that even during this period the products still got to the customers on time.
Special attention was paid to the arrangement and configuration of room space with optimisation of the warehousing organisation and material flows and the design of antistatic, ergonomic assembly and calibration workstations. The aim was to achieve good order and clarity at and around the workplace as well as efficient assembly procedures.
The window elements extending over a large area and the air-conditioned rooms create reproducible working conditions for assembly tasks with the highest level of quality.
However, the building of the Production Center does not signal the end of the expansion for the high-tech company. The next step is for the former facilities used for batch production in the main building to be converted into a Competence Center. In future, customer-specific devices will be made here and an accredited calibration laboratory will be set up.
In 2015, this successful company will be celebrating its 20th anniversary and invites you to attend an open day. The scheduled date for this is Friday, 3 July 2015.
