BD|SENSORS exhibits its extensive range of products at the HMI Hall 11 Stand C51

Thierstein – The Hanover Fair will be opening again at the end of April – this is the world’s primary industrial fair, representing all key technologies and core areas, where exhibitors will be presenting current trends and innovations. This is where you will find BD|SENSORS with its pressure and fill level measuring systems in the "Integrated Automation, Motion and Drives” section, again this year presenting its extensive range of solutions. The range covers pressure transducers, differential pressure transmitters, digital pressure gauges and pressure switches designed for a variety of media. Level and submersible probes, data loggers and display/evaluation instruments complement the range. 

The 2018 focus will be on products with digital interfaces designed for the “Industry 4.0” environment. 

Pressure measurement communication via RS485
This interface is an established industrial automation communication standard. RS485 has been in use over many years, popular because it is insensitive to interference, ideal for communication over long distances and it also allows networking of sensors. This is where the BD|SENSORS products are at home, reliably measuring and transmitting system pressures, also differential, and levels. The DCT 531 pressure transducer and the DCL 531 correlative stainless steel submersible probe are highlights in the "RS485 – Modbus” category. Both products are versatile representatives of digital pressure and fill level measurement and their excellent long-term stability is persuasive. Their modular design and robust stainless steel enclosure renders them particularly versatile. The DCT 531 will reliably measure pressures in the 100 mbar to 400 bar range, accurate down to 0.25% FSO and with excellent thermal stability. The same applies to the DCL 531 submersible probe, boasting a pressure range up to 250 bar at 0.35% accuracy. 

Data communication via IO-Link – a global standard
Process data, diagnostics and status messages are important elements of process control and monitoring. The introduction of IO-Link technology redirected the trend away from systems with complex cabling and expensive components towards simple integration of sensing and actuating systems, leading to rapid acceptance by users, for instance in pneumatics and vacuum technologies. The iS4 pressure switch, a highly compact device featuring an IO-Link interface and smart sensor profile handling pressures in the 100 mbar to 10 bar range, focuses precisely on this target group. The IO-Link interface offers reliable transmission of measurements and system states and parameterization of the switching output. The replacement of IO-Link devices is quick and easy thanks to a self-parameterization option. The DS 300 pressure switch is the obvious solution for applications demanding more convenience and local display. It is designed for use in machine tools or pneumatic systems. Parameterization is possible here as well, via higher level control or via the VDMA conformant menu system, using two keys. Thanks to multiple continuous adjustability of the display, the display may be adjusted to always ensure optimal readability in all installed positions. The display head also has an LED function ring indicating switching statuses or alarms, rendering them clearly visible over longer distances.
