We are saying goodbye to KAREL MAREČEK (1961-2024), who passed away on July 18, 2024 at the age of 63 in his home town of Salaš, following a serious illness. He died peacefully at home, with his wife Božena Marečková at his side.
Ever since he was a child, Karel was characterised by his determination and his powerful motivation to achieve something extraordinary in life. After graduating from university and taking his first steps in his professional career, at the end of 1993 he decided to establish BD SENSORS sro together with his partners and co-owners Libor and Rainer, focussing on the manufacture of electronic pressure measurement technology.
Thanks to Karel's persistence and strength, the company developed quickly and steadily after it was established. At BD SENSORS Karel mainly devoted himself to the development area, where he succeeded in utilising his technical talent and visionary foresight to the full.
In addition to the development of the company, the progress of the region was also very important to him, in which he played a key part in the form of sustainable investments and the drive to preserve the regional heritage and time-honoured traditions.
As well as his everyday work within the company, he also enjoyed flying and driving high-performance cars. During his free time he could also frequently be found in his favourite spot – the garden of his self-designed house in Salaš.
Karel devoted his life to his work, which was the thing that gave his life meaning. He invested a tremendous amount of time and energy in his company BD SENSORS, with the goal of having a positive impact on the lives of his employees and the people in the region. He believed that the legacy which he created by means of his lifetime of hard work would be timeless.
We remember Karel with respect and affection as a person with a marvellous gift for vision, but also an enormous vitality with a very specific sense of humour and an irrepressible drive to move forward.
Rest in peace Karel - we will miss you.
