The two animal shelters in the Wunsiedel district based in Selb or Wunsiedel-Breitenbrunn play an important role in the district when it comes to animal protection, since they take care of lost and found animals with the aim of finding them a safe, forever home. Animal welfare has been an important focus at BD|SENSORS as part of the company’s regional commitment for years, since both the company’s owners and many of the workforce are animal lovers and owners.
For this reason, the management board met in January 2024 with the two managers of the shelters in Selb (Julia Stopp) and Wunsiedel (Ilona Engels), during which the traditional two donation cheques were presented, amounting to EUR 2,500 each. The donations are being used in both facilities to cover the ongoing costs of feed and veterinary care. *
The dog area in the shelter in Selb will soon be renovated since the flooring is especially in need of repair.
